Hi-
Curious to know if anyone has an Artisian KA Mixer. Asked earlier about Pro model and everyone likes it but I think it may be too big for my needs. I'm a SAHM that makes a cake about once a week for fam or friends.
What do you like about it? What don't you like about it? How long have you had it?
Hi...i got my Artisan for Christmas last year. I will have to say that I love it. there isn't anything that I don't like about it except maybe that i don' thave any other attachments except the ones it came with. I say go for it...you'll love it ![]()

I have an Artisan. I actually thought I wanted the professional, but when I went to the store and played around with the different models I decided I didn't like the lift part of the professional. I like the tilt of the Artisan. The Artisan is plenty big for me. I don't do a huge amount of baking. I originally bought it because I like to make bread and it can handle bread dough real well.
Of course what I use now is a Bosch Universal machine because I can leave the base out on the counter and exchange the different attatchments, like the mixer, blender, processor, and slicer. It's much easier than pulling out the heavy KA which doesn't fit on my current counter.
When we remodel the kitchen I'll probably have both out.
Has anyone seen the cranberry colored one in person? I am looking at getting that one from amazon but I was wondering if it was more of a reddish color or a hot pink color? I went to kohls to play with them yesterday
but they didnt have any of the cranberry colored ones. From the picture it looks to be hot pink, lol thats what I want, lol.

I have had my KA Artisan for 3 years and love it. I teach once a week and have to haul my mixer with me and it has stood up to the beating very well. I make 3-4 cakes per month plus bread, cookies, fondant and all other sorts of goodies with it. I just took it in for its first service and besides needing some much needed cleaning and oiling, it was fine and works like a new again.
I have an Artisan. There isn't anything that I can't make with it (this far). However, I don't make my own fondant. I was going to get the Pro but I realized it would be a bit much since I have a 20 quart Hobart. And besides, I really LOVE the yellow one, and you just can't get the fun colors in the larger ones!
I have the Artisan in purple. I got it about 4 months ago and I can't stop using it!..I absolutely love it and don't know how I lived without it all these years. I only bake cakes a couple times a month, but I do a lot of cookies and this is a great timesaver......

Same with me. I have the Artisan and I LOVE it! I wish I had the bigger bowl, more powerful one at times, but I don't like the lift head. But, there's nothing that I've tried yet that my Artisan can't do.
I have had mine for 3 years now, and I love it too. I bake on average 6 cakes a month, and it's perfect for that. I also mix mmf in it, and no problems so far.
