I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who gave me feedback on my posts about my first paid cake for the 50th birthday party. There are too many to name but you all know who you are and i couldn't have done it without you!! And thank you to everyone else as well for all the inspiration on this wonderful site!!
The cake came out ok...not all I wanted it to be but I have only been doing this for 3 months so i have lots of room for improvement. I have never done a 3 tier cake before so that was also challenging.
I know a few people said they wanted to see pictures so I uploaded some into my photos and am going to try to attach one here too. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

wow!! Thank you all so much!! I guess its true that we are our own worst critics. I guess I had just pictured it differently in my head and I wasn't too happy with the figures...they weren't as "life like" as I had wanted them to be. But I had never done people before so it was really hard.
You all have made me feel so much better about this!!
I only charged $150 for this cake...I know I should have charged more (it is 8" 10" & 12" rounds) but how much would you all have charged for this cake? Just curious how short I sold myself (especially since I probably spent close to that on supplies and ingredients)!!
Sorry I can't give you an answer since I have never sold a cake, but I'm sure you'll get lots of educated answers from the wonderful members of this site who do sell their beautiful creations.

For someone who's only been doing this for three months, and for a first time three tiered cake, this is AMAZING!!! You should be so proud of yourself. I couldn't have pulled that off (I can't model worth a darn) and I've been at this for a year now!
