cause i swear i just heard mine turning into popscicles!!!!!!!!!
i posted a few days ago, asking about the best covering for a m.h. cake (aka topsy turvy...i'm being careful what i say here...you'll understand why in a second!) i was just asking everyone's advice if the best was fondant, and if a pound cake was the preferred recipe. a little while ago, the client calls, and is talking to me about the photos of the design i sent her, and she casually mentioned that she had been researching m.h. cakes on google, and had come across a post i had made on some cake board about her and her cake.
SCREEEEEEECHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHAT???????
i instantly start trying to think what i had said, but i'm not letting on that anything is out of the ordinary. she said that it was kind of cool running across a post that was about her, and she could tell i had done alot of research just for her cake...shewwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!
as soon as i got off the phone, i raced to the laptop here, and looked it up, and just as i htought, it was totally innocent. i'm not a mean spirited person, but sometimes things that you say can be taken the wrong way. thank jesus my big mouth stayed up to speed with my brain that day!!!!!!
i remember seeing a post the other day about this same kind of thing, and how that is why some people use a different screen name. well, i guess i made it easy, since not only do i have a unique first name, i went and used my full name...!
anyway, just wanted to let y'all know this funny little story...keep it in mind when typing about your clients...the internet can be a wonderful little tool, but it can nibble on your backside sometimes too..!!!!!!!!

LOL! Whew. That could have been messy. I used to have my city in my profile, but took it out when I read the thread about finding posts on Google. I don't think I've ever said anything bad, but like you said, some things can be taken the wrong way.
That's scarry. We have to be on our best behavior it seems.
i think she must have googled my name along with the type of cake...cause when i did it just with the cake name, thousands of pages came up. i'd say she was trying to see if i had any cake photos out there, or if i had a website.
Glad that one worked out well. Now you know why I use my REAL name -- Bobwonderbuns!! ![]()
