Go Figure--Some People Will Steal Anything!!!

I had the "Caution Wedding Cake on Board" vehicle magnet on my car when I was delivering a wedding cake. Took the wedding cake out of the back of my car (Ford Focus Sport Wagon), left back up. Came out after 15 minutes to close the back...my sign was gone. It was there when I raised the back.
Hmmm...maybe they were hoping I would leave some cake behind. Glad I didn't, I might have been short a tier.
That is just horrible. People will steal just about anything. I just had something taken from my property, but got it back. Its so upsetting though when people do things like that.
I'm glad you didn't lose a tier, imagine???? Where did you get your magnet from? I've never seen on of those......
Society has just went down hill! Don't feel bad, someone stole the air freshner out of the bathroom in our pool hall. Talk about scandalous!!!
Okay, I really want one of those magnets, but I would never steal one!! Sorry yours disappeared! That must be frustrating - it's not like they are easy to find.

I can see it now--- Mac in traffic sees her sign, and chases the culprit down following them into a parking lot. waiting......waiting.....waiting --and steals it back!!! Oh that would be great! What are the odds?
Oh that stinks! You wouldn't think someone would steal something like that! We live in a college town and the student pranks are enough to drive us out sometimes. Between Rush and scavenger hunts, we have to bolt everything down. Last Christmas, we caught 3 of them trying to steal our very large, lit present box decorations out of the front yard 
They were even all lit up at the time and you'd think they'd realize that we'd see them trying to take off with a couple 3 ft square red and green lit up boxes. My husband ran them off before they got away with'em. I can just imagine the frat house around Christmas...full of grinched decos

What is this world coming to! Sorry you lost your sign. Some people in my neighborhood have gotten some of their large Christmas decorations stolen 2 years in a row now. Last year they put a sign up in their yard "Please return our snow man." Don't think they got it back. They always have a huge display in their yard. I hope they didn't get discouraged.
That is amazing. But, it's true. People will steal anything.
Two years ago, I was holding a large 3-day seminar in Boston. We were in the Boston Sheraton, which connects to the Prudential Center. Outside every meeting room, we have a printed sign glued to foamcore board describing what's happening in that room every day. At the top of the sign is a logo of the meeting. We have a different logo every year. This year, it was a Paul Revere kind of guy. On one of the signs in the public hallway leading to the Prudential Center, someone took a knife and cut that logo out of the foamcore board and took it! I think that was the topper for me!
Back when I sold AVON I had a magnetic sign on my car that said, "AVON - Buy or Sell - My name & Phone #"
Someone, in black sharpie, wrote: "Whites Only" on it one day while I was in the mall. I was SO mad.

That's an idea...I'll keep my eyes peeled. Seeing as I was the only one in town that had one. Well, as far as I know.
I can see me chasing down a little old lady that makes cakes to supplement her social security. LOL!!! Oh well, I'll order another one.
I'm sorry to hear that!! I don't know that I would even come up with the idea to steal something like that (or anything for that matter) I'm a nurse in a clinic and guess what disappears most out of our cabinets in the exam rooms...KY jelly!!! Imagine that!!!!
I still remember how upset I was when someone stole the tyre cover off my four wheel drive car when I was a teenager. I had only just bought the car second hand. It wasnt the cover that upset me, but the sticker I had carefully chosen to suit my temperament which I still have never found again.
It said "Heaven doesn't want me and Hell's afraid I might take over!"
The person that stole it must have been more of a devil than I thought I was! 
I would also have to wonder if it fell off. I ordered one and when I delivered my last wedding cake I thought to put it on my car. I didn't get 2/10ths of a mile down the road and it flew off! I wasn't even driving fast yet. I had my DH stop and pick it up since he was leaving a couple minutes after me. I was quite upset that I can't use it. I guess I have to find some super-duper strong magnets to try to hold it down.
It didn't fall off. It was there when I lifted the back up and not there when I put it down. Nowhere on the ground.
Earlene has one that I have also looked at ordering. It's a turtle--and I love turtles. HEY--TC--Did you know about Earlene's vehicle magnet?

will steal anything!! 2 weeks ago, my sister-in-law ran to Wal Mart during her lunch hour to pick up groceries and other junk to prepare for a vacation in Kentucky. She has a Jeep Wrangler that doesn't lock, but it's so tall (it's lifted) that you can't see inside of it unless you actually open the door and look in....well, when she came outside after work, everything was GONE! ALL of the groceries, including the 5 cases of beer that she bought for their vacation (she bought all the beer for the big group of people that were going with them)...they even ran off with 2 large containers of laundry detergent, clothing she was planning to return to the store and a gift card she just received!!! That's nuts!! And, to think that someone took the time to unload all of that stuff!!!
