I believe gumpaste is edible, although not really tasty - have not tried it myself - wouldn't worry about the little guy. icon_surprised.gif

Gumpaste is edible it just doesn't get eaten once it's dry! I have tasted it before and it similar to fondant only pretty bland and chewier!
What a little rascal! To Cute!

I thought oh no he ate the tulip.....but then realized....no it was my poor poor fairy!!

It is very funny to read. Good luck with hiding your work. My toddler has become manic with my figures. and so super- fast to destroy and eat them.

I don't have place to hide them anymore icon_lol.gif

My funny story is that in the pre-kindergarten teachers complained that my son tries to eat the play-dough every day and keeps saying that it is cake icon_biggrin.gif

I feel your pain. My 16-month-old boy/girl twins are the same way! They love MMF, buttercream, cake scraps, you name it...If you look in my photo gallery you'll see the results of a similar incident that took place at my house about a week ago. There are two pictures of my mad hatter cake (the top and the bottom) because I never got the chance to take a picture of it in one piece. My daughter picked a MMF flower off of the cake to eat it and while I was scolding her, my son whacked the cake in two with a paper towel tube. Silly me told him he could whack the floor, furniture, etc...just not people...didn't think to mention no whacking cakes, either...icon_smile.gif

icon_rolleyes.gif ...be thankful! My 6 y/o boy will only eat PB&J, chicken nuggets, or pizza! He won't even eat french fries unless the come from McDonald's! The boy may starve when he starts school next year! I guess I'll be packing a lot of lunches!

icon_twisted.gif Rest in pieces little fairy...you tasted well, (I guess!) icon_lol.gificon_lol.gificon_lol.gif

I've got a boy/girl set of twinks myself. My daughter loves to eat cake stuff. If she sees me pulling out the fondant tub, she comes running and starts hollering for cake.

She even liked this really nasty rolled buttercream I made one time. Couldn't get enough of it. I thew it away and she almost dived head first into the trashcan to get it back out. I had to guard the trash can to keep her away from it.

Her baby brother could care less and the cake stuff. Instead I am pulling him out of pantry all the time because he learn that toys come in cereal boxes. Now he is ripping open boxes looking for toys. icon_lol.gif Both of them learned to shut the pantry door when they are inside it, so they can tear it up without being discovered. icon_rolleyes.gif They learned that trick from their older brother who raids the closet for candy.
