Yes just half everything. I have done that and didn't have problems. What is wrong? Do they spread out when baking? Depending on the humidity I sometimes add a tablespoon or two of flour so they don't spread and it doesn't affect the outcome.

Weigh out your flour if you can. Made the best batch of NFSC when I was able to weigh my flour instead of measuring with cups.

I live in London, U.K and we don't have cups for measuring. Can someone give me the recipe for no fail sugar cookies in metric i.e grams. I tried my own conversions but my cookies all spread and I didn't bother to decorate them after all.

Flour: 1 cup = 125 GM.

Sugar or Butter: 1 cup = 250 GM.

Liquids: 1 cup = 2.5 DL.

I found that it can also be which flour you use! I am sticking with PIllsbury all purpose flour! Make sure you are not using self rising flour and then adding the baking powder. HOpe this helps

I thought all-purpose flour was supposed to be 150 grams = 1 cup.....

I don't know if this helps, but I weigh my flour (6 cups) to 31.7 ounces (scale only does pounds and ounces).
