I found this picture of this cake and I would love to try to make the Shih Tzu puppy. I don't know who to give credit to for the cake, I don't even know where I got the pic but think it is the cutest thing. I am unsure how to do the dog, if is a smaller cake cared to make the body or if it is just icing. Any advice is appreciated! Thanks

Ohh my he is cute!! I personally have not done this, but I read where they use cupcakes, cut and stacked to shape. Then pipe on the fur. I will take a peak and see if I can find a post on it. Jen

That is too cute.....I want to lick HIS face...LOL!!

What tip would you use to make the fur???? Would it be the same tip that I use to make grass?

My MIL would love that cake. She had a Peek for years and just loved her to death!

Maybe the stand-up lamb pan, you can cut it a little or just overpipe a lot with icing to get that look

It looks like the star tip to me. Also used to make standard shell borders.

Here is the puppy I did. I used Merissa's instructions in this link.

I used tip 233. Since it's a topper, I would use the Little Debbies.

This is such a great thread! I didn't know there were so many ways to make these cute little guys! I personally make them with the two wondermolds and a 6" round in the middle, and that is quite a bit of cake....these ideas are just adorable!
