can it be? I was thinking of using a plate or cardboard and decorate cookies to arrange like a picture or puzzle idea. What do you think?

I've done it, they were quite popular. For mine, I used a large bear cookie cutter and cut it into pieces, ears, arms, legs. It didn't fit together perfectly, but close enough that is was very cute.

using a geometric shape would be even easier, and allow for more color.

I saw them at a craft fair a few years ago. They sold like crazy. I think she was getting $15 for them, and they measured about 9x13.

Here's a really cute "puzzle cookie cutter set" by MuJI.
I'm sorry, I don't know how to do a link.

If that doesn't work, it can also be found on

look under shopping, then kitchen then cookware.

many teacher supply stores carry blank puzzles that can be used as templates.

most have two sizes: small pieces and BIG pieces (like you'd see in puzzles for the 2-5 yr old set)
