How Many Cups Of Ps = A Pound

I buy the commercial bags but wanted to messure a pound for making color flow (never made it before) icing, just need one batch for a trial run.
I'm guessing about 4 or 5 cups. Does it need to be exacct for color flow?

And I'm thinking yes, you would need to be exact.

Not necessarily...as long as you know what consistency you're looking for. I agree with the others: 4 cups=1 #.

On the one pound box of Domino's powdered sugar it states that the box contains approx 3 3/4 cups.

Technically, 3 3/4 C = 1 lb of powdered sugar....but I use 4 C = lb!
