My nino (godfather) passed away monday. Well....they want me to make the cake for the after the funeral "party". I dont know what to make. I DO know he loved the Los Angeles Dodgers and he worked for Caltrans (california dept of transportation) I thought about combining the two...somehow. My mother suggested 2 cakes.....but my brain isnt working!
There will be roughly 200ppl there...if not more. Should I make 1 full sheet or perhaps 2 !? Im so confuzzled!

Oh I'm so sorry that you have to make a cake for such a sad occasion.
You could do one sheet cake with a bus piped on and on the bus you could do something that looks like the Dodgers logo like it's an ad on the side of the bus.
It wouldn't be too difficult.
Whatever you decide to make - it will be from the heart and that is all that matters.

first off let me say i am so sorry for you loss...and let me also add...that if this were my nino....i would definately do something that was special to him...i mean just cause he worked for cal trans doesnt' mean that he loved it...that was work!!! stick to the Dodgers theme!! that is what he loved or find that part of him that made everyone laugh and love him...and go with that.....don't worry about what is proper...this cake is part of celebrating him and his love for life!!!! We've decided on a dodger baseball cap cake and cupcakes decorated as balls.
Funny you shoud mention that maybe he didnt like work....cause from what I heard today....he wasnt too happy with it right before he retired.
