Has anybody used them. Do they work with white chocolate?
Or should I order some Flow Coat to use my Americolor?
I have a wedding cake order and for the groom's cake, the bride wants oreo's dipped in colored chocolate to resemble poker chips. I will need bright colors of what; red & blue. I found a place locally that has some powdered candy colors but I am not sure if it works for chocolate or just hard candy color.
I have used the powdered candy colors, but sometimes they don't mix in and you have little grains of darker color. I was mixing them into candy melts. I would suggest using candy colors (wilton makes them) or just ordering candy melts in the colors you need. Poker chips are usually red, green, blue, black and white. Hope that helps.
One good thing about using colored candy melts: there is less mouth staining from the candy. If you add color, the customers may not be happy with brightly colored teeth and lips. And for taste, they work just fine on Oreos. The cookie strongly and positively effects the overall flavor.

I too have switched to using the colored chocolate. After many years of coloring chocolate, I have found that using the colors is easier, cuts down on my time mixing.
