I do alot of cakes with pastry pride. I was wondering if anybody knows how gumpaste or rolled fondant flowers and figures would hold up on them. I have been told that if I let the frosting crust up a bit before placing items on the cake it will hold up better. Just afraid the moisture will ruin flowers and figures. I would appreciate any input you can give me.
Thanks

Anne

As long as the gumpaste and fondant items are completely dried, and the icing is superficially dry, I haven't had any problems. I do wait as long as possible to add the decoration.
