Today, our ICES Rep sent the following email to us: I thought I would share it with everyone..I know some of you have taken Susan's classes.
have just learned the heartbreaking news that our Susan O'Boyle-Jacobson suffered a massive heart attack last night and died. Her husband, Phil, noticed some time during the night that Susan was not in bed and went downstairs. He found Susan on the floor. She was taken to the hospital, but they were unable to revive her.
It is reported to me that Phil is planning a wake on Sunday evening and funeral on Monday, but details have not been worked out yet.
Susan was President of ICES in 1985 and 2001.
You may or may not be aware that Susan competed with competitors from NV, FL and NY in the Food Network Candy Castles Challenge on Tuesday, April 18, at the Mall of America. Susan was the recipient of the gold metal, grand prize winner and recipient of $10,000. We were all so excited and proud of her.
I am sure that you will want to keep Susan's family in your prayers during this difficult time.
