Happy birthday to me, happy birthday to me!! My ex husband bought me the Kitchen Aid Professional 600 today for my birthday!! Whoo hoo!! Well, of course it wasn't from him it was from the kids "wink, wink" She's a beauty - She's a Nickel Pearl color and my old (trusty) 4 qt looks like a baby next to her!! I can't wait to use her!! Ahhhh - I'm in love (with my KA not with my ex husband!!LOL)

Just wanted to share!!! I guess I should take back a few of those mean things I used to say about him!!! icon_smile.gif

Funny how some of us prefer appliances to diamonds isn't it? I got a sewing machine for my b-day last year and nothing could have made me happier!

CONGRATULATIONS!

When I was scanning through the list of posts and read your title, my first thought was, "she got a KA" icon_biggrin.gif I'm glad he (they - wink wink) went all out and got you the KA 600 Pro. I've got one too.

Well thanks!! Suddenly my 4 qt KA seems soo tiny!! I'm going to start shopping for a bigger one today. I just found out yesterday I've lost my part time job. So I'm going to have to get busier with my cakes and my woodworking business.

I'm sure happy for you with you great gift! So cool!

I wish I had a KA. Right now I only have a handmixer. There are times when I am making my cakes or frosting I wish I had a KA, I would really like to have one, expecially when I am making the Wilton Buttercream Frosting.

Hahaha, when I saw the title I thought it was going to be a joke! I am glad it turned out to be so good!! But doesn't your little artisan look so petite?!? I had to laugh when I brought home my new 'big boy' and put him next to my 'little guy'. Needless to say, I didn't call him 'little guy' until the new guy moved in! (Oh, and I, too, am talking about mixers, not men! Hehehe)

Melvira,
Boy, I'm glad you clarified that! I am wanting a bigger KA myself. Looking at the KA site it looks like the only one with a bigger than 5 qt bowl is the Professional 600, with a 6 qt. Is that the biggest bowl? It's bigger than the commercial one which I thought sounded like it'd be bigger. Wow, over use of that one word, sorry. Sound like a man now! Oh sorry again.............

I'm doing some price shopping this afernoon.

CarolAnn I *think* that the 600 Pro is the biggest. I mean, other than perhaps some commercial free standing giant unit of course! It's the biggest I was able to get through a regular store anyway, without going somewhere that sells restaurant equipment. And the biggest I could get without getting a second mortgage! hahaha! Good luck, and happy shopping!

Just an FYI, the six quart bowl will easily hold up to three cake mixes. It's wonderful. I've had my Epicurean for around 6 years. I don't think they even sell that model anymore.

Happy birthday to you.

That was nice of him to have the kids give you an awesome gift. No matter what happen between you guys the kids see you guys as friends and helping them give that to you meant a lot to them.

Now I guess you need to help the kids make some cookies for dad.

Enjoy your day.

You are going to bow down when you use it. My hubbie brought mine for our wedding anniversary. That's all the diamond I needed. (Yeah right) But I love him very much (my KA of course) and my hubbie too.

Enjoy your day!
