I have been using standard butter cream icing for most of my cakes and I want to give my customers a better selection. Anyone have any good recipes for various fillings or different buttercream flavors such as cream cheese etc? Also what is some good cake/filling combinations?

This one has been discussed several times. If you use the search button above and enter favorite buttercream in the search field, limit it to titles only, and start with a limit to the recipe section, you will probably find several threads on these subjects.

For really awsome lemon buttercream substitute lemon juice for the water and lemon extract for the vanilla. icon_surprised.gif That is some gooood stuff. Put that on a lemon or chocolate cake, maybe even raspberry ooooooh.

I made a batch of buttercream last week and added pina colada drink mix to the buttercream. It gave it a nice subtle flavor and smell. I just added to taste so I dont have an exact measurement of it. I put it on yellow cake but was thinking it would be really good with a pineapple cake/filling. My family liked it!!
