Hi,
I just noticed Bakel's has a ready-to-use gumpaste and so does SatinIce.

I've only used Wilton's and wanted to know if there was a difference in the different types of gumpaste?

I can't give you an experienced answer on that because I make my own, using Nic Lodge's Tylose recipe. I have always had good luck with it and it is easy to make. I will be watching for more postings on this subject, curious to see what other opinions people have on mixes.

I have used Wilton, Bakels, Nicholas Lodges ready to use, other mixes and recipes. I prefer the Nicholas Lodge recipe as well. However, the other ready mades are just fine.

I found Wilton needs quite a bit of shortening to be flexible and non-sticky

Bakels needed powdered sugar and cornstarch to be non sticky.

But the end result for all the different items was very similar. Just be prepared to add shortening or PS to make it easy to use.
