What Flavor Pudding For A Red Velvet?

I want to add pudding into the mix of a red velvet cake and just thought I would get some input on what flavor I should use. Also do you think a rasberry filling would be good.

I use chocolate fudge pudding. I get so many requests for that cake.

I don't know about a raspberry filling. I'm sure it would taste good.

Chocolate or vanilla pudding would work for the cake, but I believe that Cream Cheese filling is traditionally what is used for a red velvet cake.

I don't think a rasberry filling would be good. I make it using a white choc cream cheese filling or just the cream cheese filling.

I've also used a white chocolate cream cheese filling for red velvet cake and it is soooooo good!! maybe if you were going to go that route maybe add white choco pudding to the mix!!

I too usually use either a cream cheese or white choc cream cheese filling/frosting. Never thought of using pudding before, but I wonder if the cheesecake flavored pudding would be good with the red velvet? Hmmmmm.... icon_rolleyes.gif Might have to try that out one day.
