I'm making some cookies for a bridal shower using the colors for the wedding on a monogram. I had intended on using the center larger initial of the groom and her first name initial and his first name initial on the sides and slightly smaller. I'm wondering if this is ok since it's the shower, not the wedding. If I used an initial on a cookie cake it would have to be the new name I think??? Any advise????

I think it would be fine, the "new" last initial, I mean icon_smile.gif

Yes, should be the new last name initial!

I'm getting married in November, and had this same issue. According to a recent bridal magazine proper etiquette reads: all monograms prior to the wedding should have HER last names' initial in the center. If they were being made for the wedding, then the new married names' letter goes in the center. I actually found this to be quite surprising, because I agreed with everyone else until reading that I apparently was in the wrong. I personally say to ask to bride which she prefers.
