I'm trying to make gum paste for the first time. Wilton's directions on the gum paste can says to use "1 heaping tablespoon" of glucose. The recipe on the gloucose container says to use "1 teaspoon" of glucose. All the other ingredients/measurements are the same. Does anyone know what the correct amount is? Thanks!
I'm not using the mix, I'm making a scratch recipe. Also, one recipe says to use 1/2 lb. sugar, the other says to use 3/4 lb. I just made a batch with 3/4 lb. sugar and 1 tablespoon glucose. It is soft and gooey; I don't know what the consistency should be. I'll let it set overnight and see what happens. Thanks.
