What type of box can I use for stacked two-tiered cake or how can I carry that kind of cake? There is no separator, just one cake tire on another. (10and 8")
This is the first time I am going to carry that kind of cake for one of my friends birthday, so not familiar for this thing.
Thanks in advance.

If you're going to stack, you need to use some kind of support. Use several dowels in the bottom cake and a cake board (cardboard same size as top cake) for the top cake to sit on. I also suggest using a center dowel that is larger and with a sharpened end to go through the whole thing. I guess this could be overkill, but better safe than sorry! I'm sure you'll get other suggestions from more seasoned CCers!
I agree with what Renaejrk said. Not overkill at all, though.
Yeah, I would go with dowel rods for support also. I use the normal cake boxes, but tuck the sides of the top so that the box is kept propped open. That makes room for the height and you can saran wrap around the front so that the cake will be protected. I have heard other people using file boxes and stuff like that to transport tall cakes as well.
Ooooooh, I like that tip about using file boxes! Thanks for sharing. ![]()
Thanks everyone!
It really helps me a lot. I am still scared and be until cake will serve safe. BTW I am never office person at all so my silly question is what is the file boxes and where can I find those?? I know, I know, you are laughing but still I am blind about that.
Thanks again
