I know with the Wilton stuff you're only supposed to add the oil flavoring, or it will break down, but I was thinking, you add water to make the homemade stuff, so couldn't you just replace a bit of that water with vanilla flavoring or something?

I couldn't find any oils here, all they had at the craft store was cinnamon and cherry, neither of which would go with my cake, and to order then online is so expensive, not to mention I don't have time for that.

I'm making the marshmallow fondant, btw.

Hey Melissa,

I add flavoring to the Wilton fondant. My teacher told us we could. I added vanilla to it. I haven't tried any of the other flavors but you can put it in the fondant. I don't know about MMF though. Never made it yet.

I've used regular flavourings in my mmf ; vanilla & almond primarily. No problems with either and plan on experimenting with others later.... icon_smile.gif
