i was just eating a piece of cake i made a few days ago (milk chocolate cake, filled with blueberry mousse and frosted with buttercream) and i realized that buttercream tickles my tongue and the roof of my mouth. it's weird. lol

does this happen to anyone else, or am i some kind of weirdo?

see, this is what happens when you are up late with your baby who is throwing up. sigh

I wonder if you have a slight allergy to something in the icing. Bananas do that to my son and my daughter.

really?? interesting... i didn't think i had an allergy to any of the ingredients. i wonder if it's the flavorings i use?? i am lactose in tollerant, but i use lactaid milk to make my bc. maybe i should look into it...

thanks.

That ALWAYS happens when buttercream too sweet...I had a cupcake from Wholefoods tonight so know it;s not a reaction to artificial additives.

My thought is that an ingredients is spoiling.  B'cream seldom spoils but it can happen.
