How To Find Cake Shows And Contests?

Does anyone know how to find out about cake shows and contests? I always find out about this stuff when it's too late!

Midwest mommy, there's a show coming up in Chicago in April. I think the 29th of April and it's hosted by the French Pastry School

I always find out too late too. I'm planning on joining ICES but still I'm sure lots goes on besides that.
