I have problems opening my dusts on those snap top containers and finally came up with a solution to the problem.

I was in the Dollar Store the other day looking for something that I could use and came across the pill container that you use to put your weekly meds in. They have the big ones that have the deep containers and it is clear in color. All you have to do is cover with self-stick stickies and write the name on top or use the tape that you tape boxes with and use the permanent marker to label each tab.

No more struggling to get the tops off everytime you use your dusts...just flip the lid open and you're in business.

Just throught that I would pass it along...its great.

Another hint is to use an old pop bottle opener or a paint can opener on the lids. Works great.

Those are great ideas. I have hardly used any of the dusts yet but I have quickly figured out that they are a pain to open!

This is a super idea!! I was so frustrated trying to open them. A couple times I gave up because I just couldn't do it.
The bottle opener is a great idea too so I can open the containers to put the dust into the pill containers.

Thanks!!! You guys always come up with great tips!

Is the top of the pill box totally tight? I would be afraid that there might be a slight crack and they might mix together. I guess you have to handle carefully and not tip it around too much. I LOVE this idea. Those bottles are impossible.

Where do you buy the dust from??? Does like michael's or ac moore carry them? Do they come w/instructions. I've seen some beautiful cakes on here that people used the dust with. Just curious.

Thanks

They are tight and haven't had any problems with them mixing. I tipped the container over to see if they would mix and they didn't.
