So I'm baking for Easter. Cookie dough in fridge, special bread rising and rising today.

I go to preheat the oven for an hour before baking. Come back in an hour, and it still says 110 DEGREES. Cold inside! icon_eek.gificon_evil.gificon_mad.gif

We had a repair guy over about a week ago because the temp hasn't been regulating well--25 degrees too hot, 15 degrees too cold, all over the place...and now this.

I pulled out my portable roasting oven to make the bread, but I have ham to bake for tomorrow and A WEDDING CAKE to start on Thursday!

I could just scream.

Do you have a gas oven with an electronic ignition? Sometimes the igniter goes out, but you can manually light the oven - carefully.

We had to replace the electronic ignition in my oven before, as it is a common occurance, and it is an easy DIY repair. So, the last time it went out, my husband went and bought another igniter and replaced it (it's about 80 bucks). The oven still didn't work! Then he noticed, after much fiddling around, that I had accidentally turned the timer knob into the "Oven Off" position. LOL - so check for the stupidest reasons first. Hard lesson learned! icon_biggrin.gif

I do have a perfectly good electronic ignition for sale if you need one! icon_biggrin.gificon_lol.gif

Sorry about your troubles!
