So sorry for you and your family. Your cake is beautiful. Definitely send a picture to your mom, if it was possible(finacially and the cake would hold up well) I would slice it, wrap really well, freeze it then ship to her overnight.

I just wanted to add my condolences...I'm so sorry. I just lost a nephew 2 weeks ago (he was 19) and the pain is still very near the surface. We just have to work through it though - - Keep your chin up. With all these prayers going up in your behalf, I think you will make it.
