Does anyone out there have a template for tire tread??? Or an explanation of how to create tire tread with fondant?? Cake due in 1hr!!! HHHHHHHHHeEEEEELLLLLLLPPppPPPPP!!

Do you have any toy trucks you can run through some fondant? Or even just to look at the tread on the wheels?

You can do a google search on tires and in the images you can get some good ideas.
Then using some angled butter or sharp knife the same type of technique in the articles for the Martha Stewart new basket weave or contemporary might work for you. Just do it opposite on each side,

use a dowel to make dents in the fondant as per diagram below.
envision midline of tire and push dowel in from left (black dowel) to midpont.
then rotate dowel to right (blue dowel) and do same.
space them out evenly around the tire.
change size of dowel for different tires (big one for tractor tires -- small for car)
(this one is a herringbone pattern -- most treads use some variation of it or a V pattern. some add extras channels that go all the way around the tire and then the V or herring bone on both sides of channel(s) )
