I have added a photo to the birthday gallery of the cake I made for my neice Megan to the birthday gallery. I am new to this board and have been lurking for about a month. I used Dawns buttercream recipe (yummy), French Vanilla cake mix with french vanillia creamer for the liquid. This was my first attempt at roses. I used Hersey kisses as the base. Be honest what do you think?

Awww ya'll gals are so sweet! I used crushed Vanillia wafers for the path. the figures are Little people by Fisher Price. My sister and lil niece both LOVE frogs so that is why the frogs on it. I have been learning from the internet and Wilton Yearbooks, no classes in my area. Your comments means so much. I just hope I can get to the level of you guys!

loved them, and they cant make a bad cake they are so cute!!!! But GIRRRRRRRRRRRRRRLLLLLLLLL you absolutely did them justice with that cake!
COOOOOLLLL!
I think that you did a great job! For a first attempt with roses, you are pretty darn good. I bet that your sis and your niece loved this cake! Congrats and welcome to our family!!
Roses came kinda easy for me but what has me stumped is apple blossoms and swirl drop flowers. They always break on me when I try to move them off of my waxed paper. How long should I let them dry out? I put them in the freezer and that sure didn't work ![]()
Thank you ladys you all have been a great help to me.
