Found a flip-flop cookie cutter:
http://www.cookiecutter.com/browseproducts/FLIP-FLOP-4.5-IN.-B1668.html

I've never purchased from that site before, found it by doing a Google search.

Country Kitchens has flip-flop candles:

Hope this helps! icon_smile.gif

Was there a flip-flop template for carving a cake posted in the galleries section? I tried to go look, but that section has been timing out on me when I try to enter it.

shirleyW did a fabulous flip flop cake. i searched through every flip flop cake here the other night, and i was the most impressed with hers, nice clean lines, uncluttered and just stunning!

Good luck, it's a great idea.

doug thats funny that you noticed...the other day i saw a fish cake that was facing the right, usually they are facing the left...it was a beautiful cake, but something looked "wrong"...i realized it wasnt WRONG, it was DIFFERENT! got me thinking, wow! this decorator must be a left handed person- funny we notice those things!!!

This is the cake that i made for my sister. I just made a shoe template out of paper and used it to cut the shoes out of a large sheet. The "sand" is ground up graham crackers.

I have a flip flop cake that I did for a wedding shower in my photos. They're pretty easy to make (thank goodness, because I'm not much of a carver!! icon_biggrin.gif )

hey, cool!! icon_biggrin.gif That's my cake Melysa. LOL I did that one for my daughter last year. She's a flip flop freak. (her IM name too I believe). This year she wants a cake with flip flops all around the sides and a bikini on top. Okay, whatever. At least it's fun.

This cake I did out of a 11x15 - cut and stacked. Each shoe had a different filling.

The straps were some fruit strip things I found and tore off the pink half. I only wanted the green. And the gerberas were just needed! We matched the patterns on the sides to my daughter's napkins for her party, complete with the "S"
