Made Easter Cookies using Penney's recipe for the dough and the RI...(EXCELLENT by the way!! Even my kids, who are very picky, loved them!)....Haven't tried anything like this before (usually I just stick to cakes!!) so I just wanted to share! Any suggestions to improve would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks....and HAPPY EASTER!!! icon_biggrin.gif

Very cute!! What type of edible markers did you use? My Wilton onces always look like they are running out of ink (even when they are new!)

I used the Wilton ones...picked up a pack of pink/purple at the grocery store! they were kinda slow to get the ink moving tho...once i worked with them for a bit, the ink flowed much better!

They are sooo adorable. I agree with leily, I have that cookie cutter too and couldn't figure out a cute face to do. I especially like the bunny with the eyes squinted close.

Is Penney's recipe for the cookie dough anything like the NFSC on this site?

These are absolutely great. I love the colors. They are so fun.

What RI recipe did you use, mine never turn out this way. Did you also thin out your RI like doing color flow?

Awsome!

Thanks everyone --- really appreciate it!!

Lilly - I am planning on trying the 'bouquet' of the same cookies for Easter...making the dough as we speak!!!

bubbly - I think this is better tasting than NFSC...I tried that recipe last fall and didn't like them nearly as much as I do these (neither did my kids!)

gateaux - I used a RI recipe that I got when I requested Penny's recipe for the cookie dough and yes, I did thin it out a bit to fill in the cookies.

I really do urge anyone to try Penny's recipe for the cookies...they really have a good taste to them. If I can find the link for it, I'll try and post it ...

Thanks again!
