What Is The Best Way To Make And Color Calla Lilies?

Hi y'all!!
I need to learn how to make and color calla lilies out of gum paste. I have an order for a wedding cake and the bride wants the Calla Lily Illusion Cake. However, her colors are an EggPlant Purple and like a pale yellow. She wants the calla lilies on the cake to be the same as the colors she has chosen. I don't think it would be possible to find these colors in silk flowers and may be too time consuming. I figured I would just make them out of gum paste. So I need to know the best way to color them. And any tricks or tips to making them. I was thinking maybe I would get an airbrush to color them. Also, what would you suggest I do for the stem part of the calla lily?
What do y'all think? I really need help on this one. I've never made gum paste flowers before nor have I ever used an airbrush.
Thanks,
Lazy_Susan
The chocolate cake in my pics have calla lilies. Colored the gum paste in light pink and peach after they dried I used luster dust. Slightly wet your brush with vodka dip into dust and lightly spread from the inside out then add little dots to finish off. Hope this helps.

Oh Lazy Susan those are the I had Purple and Cream Cala's for my wedding.
When I was buying the stuff for my MIL who did the cake, I was told the colour is a mixture of Burgundy and Black, you will have to work out the shading as you go along yourself. In the end my MIL took the easy route and did them all cream.
