Hi,
I baked whole batch of chocolate cupcakes but then decided to go with lemon cupcakes for my daughter's B'day. I have put the choco cupcake in a ziplock bags and freezed them.
My question is that for how long can they stay fresh?

Thanks in advance.

i can't give you an exact time because i've never frozen anything, but i do know that cupcakes will dry out faster than cake because they are smaller.

maybe if you wrapped them in saran wrap then put in zippy bags, they will last longer?

I freeze cupcake undecorated all the time, I put them in air tight containers and I use them regularly with the boys. The longest I have had them in there was 2 months I think, I moved stuff around and found them oups! Brought them out and there were fine. I'm really picky about this stuff they were moist and went really fast.

IMHO, if you have a plastic container large enough to hold the bag of cupcakes. Then you should be good for a while.

When you take them out, make sure you can seperate them before they thaw otherwise you will have a mess! The Cake skin will come off and stick to the others and what not.

Good Luck.

I've done cakes and wrap them in Saran Wrap about two weeks in advance and frozen them, and they're still moist when I defrost them.
