I would say these were computer printed on edible paper. Not my specialty so I couldn't help there.
The reason I think they are printed is I hand paint mine and I know how difficult lettering can be with a paint brush. If Wilton has come out with a calligraphy food coloring pen I haven't looked hard enough. These are so perfect. If these are hand painted I quit.
They are beautiful.

It almost looks like some type of rub-on lettering maybe?
Where did you get the pic? Was it on the web or in a magazine?
Somebody posted a similar picture a while back, and I think they said it was done with some sort of printer that actually prints right on the cookie. (Either that or I'm losing my mind, which is very possible, LOL!)
OK, did a quick search and found it, here's a link to the post:

Those cookies are TOTALLY awesome...I never thought of doing the whole wedding favor and table number thing on cookies, great idea......I would love to have one of those printers...I always use the edible markers on my cookies...they're ok.......but wow, would love to have the calligraphy on them like those cookies!!!!!
i don't the answer to any of the above questions (on how to get that lettering so perfect)! but here is the website of the cookies (first post) where they sell them.
