I am getting ready to make a hamburger cake and I am going to just leave the center(meat) unfrosted like I have seen on here.
I really don't want to have to make a chocolate cake for the little amount I need, It is only going to be a 6 inch round. Can I use food coloring(Wilton) or should I just add cocoa to the white mix, It's going to be cheesecake flavored, would that interfer with the cocoa?
Thanks, Lori

I think you could add the food coloring. I have done it before, but for light colors...so I'm not sure how well it will work for the darker color. But look at it this way, wouldn't it taste like chocolate cheesecake if you added the cocoa?

I would just add some cocoa powder to your white mix. It doesn't take too much.
