What are cake scraps? They are mentioned in the cake ball recipe found in the recipe section. Not sure what these are. But the recipe seemed interesting.

cake scraps are what is left over when you level you cake.. just small pieces of cake

When you level your cakes, just throw the leftover scraps into a ziplock bag, and freeze them. They are great for making cookies with (I think cake balls are toooo sweet, but I think a lot of people like them)

someone here called them cake "fillets' this seems more of an appropriate name since a scrap is something not wanted and these little slivers are highly desired at my house. icon_lol.gif

I wanna make cake balls but I never have any cake scrapes! icon_cry.gif
My kids (in their mid 20's) eat it as fast as I trim them!! icon_wink.gif

I made a whole cake and crumbled it up just so I could try those cake balls - YUM!
