Does anyone have a certain royal icing recipe they like using for their cake boards. I have used a couple and was wondering if there was one you CCers recommend.

Thanks....

Edit to add:

Does Antonia's recipe harden like regular royal icing?

Anybody know about Antonia's icing?

I usually cover my boards in fondant also, but now and then I have a cake where fondant just won't look as good. I have used Antonia's icing for cookies and love it, but never keep the cookies long enough to know if it hardens like royal icing. I know it sounds like a dumb question, but I really don't know.

ANYONE?????

Anyway, sorry it took so long to respond tiptop57, my daughter wanted me and I had to help her. Anyway, I am in southern Minnesota. You are in Minnesota too, aren't you?

I've never covered a board with royal icing and to be honest, I didn't know that was possible until I read a thread going around last week about it!

I've used Antonia's recipe for cookies though, and it does harden so you should be able to use that.

Let me know how it works! It sounds so neat!

Thank you for the information heiser73. I really like her recipe and will begin using that for my cake boards instead of the other recipes I have been using.
