Hi-
I want to take some classes in Portland, Oregon or somewhere in southern Oregon and I wanted to know if anyone had any tips on who, what, when, where??? 
I have taken the wilton classes in Medford, OR but it was pretty much a joke. More like a place to come and practice not a lot of demo or instruction. 
I have been reading a lot of books and looking all over the internet, but I really would like to take a few amazing classes with amazing instructors. If you know what I mean?!?!?

In Portland area there are two shops.
In Tigard is the Decorettshop.com I haven't been there yet, but I heard it is great.
An in Portland, is another Decorette, but I can't recall the website. they have lots of classes.
I am in Salem, and although I can't give you "amazing" we could perhaps work on learning new stuff together??
Have you considered Cake Camp- in Las Vegas this September? All the "amazing" instructors will be there.

I took WILTON classes from MICHAELS in Hillsboro. I'm sure classes are offered at most of their locations, try calling the one nearest you.
Or, you could contact THE DECORETTE SHOP in Tigard, OR: 503.620.5100. They offer classes as well. Their hours are: 9am to 5:30pm Mon-Sat. Good Luck!

I don't like the wilton classes, at least the ones in medford.
I really want to be able to sink my teeth in a really learn from people who decorate all the time.

Hi, I just moved from Protland. The decorette shop is the best for classes and supplies. I prefer the one in Tigard over the store in Portland. The insturtor at Michael's in Hillsboro, is very good.

the "Decorette Shop" shop in Tigard is a really good place to shop for supplies. I've been there and they have tons of stuff. They also have classes but they are more expensive than the classes you take at Michael's or JoAnn's. Their website is www.decoretteshop.com I spent way too much money when I went there LOL The only thing I didn't like about it was it is in a very difficult location for getting in and out of traffic easily.
The other shop in Portland is called "The Decorette Shop". They aren't affiliated with each other. Just have similar names. This was actually the shop my friend told me about to go to but when I Googled it I saw the first one and thought it was this one. So I ended up driving about 16 miles further than I needed to drive. I haven't been to this one but by the looks of their website it looks like they have a ton of stuff also. Their website is www.thedecoretteshop.com If you go there let me know what you think of it
