Hello again every one
. I was asked to make a wedding cake with non dairy whip crea . I usually use pastry pride, but I would like to add some kind of flavoring to.Does any body else use this cream? I would really appreciate any kind of help.
Thank you in advance ![]()
Hi, I just used it for the first time last weekend. I flavored it with Khalua and it was wonderful, I took the cake to work and everyone just loved it!
to flavor it i used vanilla pudding (instant) hot water and 1 tablespoon of khalua then mixed it in with the frosting (i was using this as a filling for a chocolate fudge cake.
I have never decorated a cake with Pastry Pride, but have used it as a filling and have had no problem adding flavoring to it. Here's a website with a little info on Pastry Pride that might help...

Good luck!
I use Pastry Pride for all of my Bavarian Cream fillings and I have iced a cake with it, also piped a border.
Here is a link to my Bavarian Cream recipe

I've decorated a whole cake with it and thought it was just like using whipped cream. It doesn't get as smooth as bc or fondant but it can get pretty smooth.
I've made roses and borders with it also.
I like it because it can sit out and be fine whereas whipped cream can't.
