Sugar Bean was telling me about a really cool cat in the hat cake, she was pretty sure she saw here on CC. Apparently it's a VERY tipped whimsical cat in the hat cake. I've searcehed and searched for it and I've come up empty handed...anybody remember this cake?? Maybe it was on Cakes Canada??... icon_confused.gif

It was an african american lady standing with her cake and Collette Peters...

With a blue background.

She said that the final piece was missing in the photo. But it was still cool..

Anyone remember now?

It wasn't a picture from the gallery. This picture was posted in a forum on CC. icon_smile.gif

I don't know if this info is of any help but there is an article on the web that relates to The New York Public Library and and Dr Suess birthday and it states that there was a cake created by Collette Peters.

http://www.nea.org/newsreleases/2007/nr070302.html

Maybe you could contact the library for a pic if you really want it.
I tried to search the web but could not find any pics. Sorry could not be of more help.

Also, do you remember when you saw the pic on CC?

I remember reading somewhere on the CC forum that pics can't have people in them (until very recently and only in a special section) - so maybe the pic you saw was on another forum. Just a thought...

You guys are being SO helpful!! I totally mean that! But we still haven't found the mystery picture.

This was a recent picture. It was a member saying that they had taken Colettes class. And wanted to "push" the envelope. And she did a "dr. suess" type cake. And it was a picture of her, colette, the cake and she was just missing the "hat".

So this cake was leaning quite a bit to the right.

Does this ring any bells now??

PS_ I only go to one other forum, and it was not on that one. So I know I saw it here! icon_smile.gif
