I wonder the same thing. I think they're basically the same thing but I don't know if they're the same concentration or not. I've never used glucose myself...
*bump*
I read the ingredient listing on the glucose can and all that was listed was corn syrup so I did not buy it. Corn syrup waas a lot cheaper. It is what I am going to use. Have not done it yet.

I know! I did the same exact thing and was like...why buy glucose?? That's why I wondered if it was a different concentration or what.
When I bought glucose it was a lot thicker than the light corn syrup (the only one I could find) in the store, so I thought they were a little different.
I use Glucose all the time for making fondant. Glucose is a lot thicker than corn syrup. I would not try and substitute it in my recipe. I buy mine at a local cake shop for $8.99 for 5 lbs. A 1 lb bottle of Karo syrup is around $2.50 here so the Ck products glucose is cheaper.
Glucose will make a firmer fondant, easier to work with.
thats about the only diference
