I want to make an Easter Cake using the grass tip. Was wondering if the grass dries out quickly like the star tip icing does. I used the star tip for my pumpkin (round ball pan) and the little stars dried ut and fell off fairly quickly. Any special notes? Thank you

It depends on the icing recipe you are using. I use the whipped buttercream icing here in the recipe files. It does not crust much, and will stay soft.

Sounds like your icing is too stiff. And make sure you make good contact with the cake- sort of push the tip against the cake then start squeezing the piping bag and pulling away. The grass should stay on- and try that with the stars next time too. Good luck! birthday.gif
