Have any of you guys tried this little device?

I am considering ordering it, but it seems pricey for just a small piece of plastic. Any feedback? Recommendations?

the hardware stores have a plaster tool that will do the same thing. They are made for angles and corners.

Okay I went to the hardware store yesterday with the hubby. We found this similar tool next to the masonry supplies. It was $7.47, made out of some kind of metal and had a long handle. It is supposed to be a 90 degree angle but in looking at it I'd say it was a smaller angle, but that could be just me. If it's a smaller angle, it won't be worth my time to even try it on a cake.

I haven't had a chance to use it yet, so I will post when I have some experience with it. I'll post a picture of it a little later.

oh, also, I didn't find anything like this next to the plaster supplies and we looked all over the store....perhaps if we went to a different store...

It's supposed to be a 90 degree angle on the outside because it's meant for spackling where walls meet in a corner, not for outside corners. Does that make sense LOL? So, it's possible it could be slightly less than a 90 degree angle on the inside. But measure it and see because it could just be an optical illusion.

actually there were two, one meant for inside and one for outside. I got the one meant for the outside corners. I know this because the handle attachment was on the opposite side, leaving a smooth (or semi-smooth) surface on the inside.

It seems you could find something like that at a hardware store or craft shop. For me, it's a bit too pricey. There's always something out there somewhere that you could use instead.
The search is on and please share if/when you find a usable item. GOOD LUCK!!! icon_smile.gif

That is a cool tool if it actually works without leaving an edge line where the tool ends on the top.

If anyone buys it please do a review for us!
