Can I freeze Bavarian creme?

More importantly, if I make cupcakes and fill them with Bavarian creme, can I freeze the cupcakes? Do I need to do anything special with them?

Thanks.

wow.. I was just reading about bavarian cream today and just set out the ingrediants to make some for the first time to fill one of my cakes!

I make pastry cream all the time and needed something that isnt so gooey icon_wink.gif

To my knowledge, I dont think you can freeze anything with custard ( eggs/ dairy) fillings. I could be wrong tho!

Oh... That wasn't really the answer I wanted. icon_sad.gif
But then, I guess I always prefer the truth.

I didn't make my creme. I bought a tube of it at the cake supply store. I used it in a cake for a baby shower. I don't know if I didn't put enough in or what, but people didn't really comment on it.

I still have a lot left and was thinking of putting it in some cupcakes I'm making for a friend's wedding reception.

I know store bought baverian cream can be refrigerated because it says on the website where I buy it that "filled cakes can be refrigerated or frozen" I'm not sure about a kind you add water to though. This kind is ready made.
