What causes fondant to crack. I'm using Satin Ice, and was told to use crisco when dry, and as I add coloring...but I'm afraid to add to much. Now it seems it is dry and has these large crevice cracks besides...help!
Have you put it on the cake yet? If you haven't just add a little crisco until the dryness goes away. If you have already put it on the cake just massage crisco into the crevices and they will slowly disappear.
