hi i have a question, i want to start my cake business, but dont have money to open up a shop yet, so i was wondering if i can have my office in one place and make my cakes in a commercial kitchen where i can rent it for the day? Also do i need to meet clients where i make the cakes, or can i meet them in my office?? thanks for your help guys.
yes ladies do that a lot in fact I just found a kitchen to rent!!
icing and sprinkles, would you mind sharing some details about your kitchen rental? I have a realtor trying to find me a location so I am feeling like I am getting closer to opening my kitchen rental but my insurance guy called me today and he can't find anyone to underwrite my business. Clearly people do it... anyway, I'm feeling frustrated
but still optimistic. How much are you paying an hour? What arrangments do you have? What is included? What hours are you allowed to use the facilities?
I rent my bakery time, and keep my "office" and storage at my home. I also have all my consults in my home. All the brides have been very understanding that I work there at night and therefore do the consults here durring the day. I don't think it's necessary to do them at the place you will be baking.
