Lots of Americolor black gel and any recipe for fondant. Add the color with the liquid. If you use a chocolate fondant, it will help get a darker color. I think there is one here and I know there is one at baking911.com

I always buy my black fondant! I hate mixing it up. You have to use so much black to get a real dark black color.

I read a post a long time ago about a person that was trying to make choc mmf and it ended up and turned black. I'm trying to find the original post, but can't seem to locate it....but this is what she did. When she was making mmf - she added the new Hershes Dark Chocolate Coco Powder to the melted marshmallows. Then when it was all said and done - the mmf was totally black - and tasted good. If I can find the post, I'll share it with you, she posted a pic of the mmf and it was totally black - with no coloring!

Yeah that was me. I havent been quite as successful doing it when I actually tried. The next time I tried the consistency was all weird and I ended up throwing it out. Then I tried sifting the sugar and cocoa powder together and it ended up turning out pretty good, but after sitting around awhile I had trouble rolling it out. So it seemed like I need to make it up and roll it out right away. I am not sure what I did differently the first time? Anyway I did just use it for the tires on my lightning mcqueen cake and it looks alright.
