I'm sorry. I KNOW this has been addressed here SOMEWHERE, but I can't find it. Can someone tell me again how long I can keep MMF and gumpaste after I've made it? Stored at room temp or refrigerated? Thanks.

Okay, I finally found posts on the shelf life of MMF but not sure about gumpaste. Anyone?

Carefully wrapped, gum paste will last several weeks on the counter, longer in the fridge, and it can be frozen for long term storage.

But if it is not carefully wrapped, it can dry out.

Thanks Jo Ann. Car flea, I think MMF is about the same as gumpaste; should last several weeks if wrapped well.

I pretty much consider both of these mixtures "eternal." I put them in Food Saver bags and suck all the air out. Then, I just toss them in my storage bin with the fondant and gumpaste modeling tools.
