At what size sheet cake do I need to place a heat core? Where do I put the core? How many do I need to put in? I can use my flower holder, right? Do I use my baking strips on this pan and are there different size strips? The ones I have aren't very long. Any tips are appreciated. Thanks!

I believe Wilton states to use a heating core on anything bigger than 10." I have used my flower nail and it has worked well-the largest cake I have done to date, though, has been a 1/2 sheet cake (12X1icon_cool.gif. As far as the baking strips go-if the baking strip doesn't fit around the pan, you can use several pinned together.

Good Luck!

In my 12X18 I use 3 just to be safe. One in the middle and one on each side about 4 inches from the first one. The cake came out perfectly.
