This is for those who are not understanding the rules of the cake contest..
Simple mistakes are made all day.. Very understandable.. BUT here are portions of the rules: No I am not a Contest Cop!! icon_eek.gif LOL Just making sure no one gets offended or gets in trouble for not "paying attention" to the rules!!!

Do not upload your photo to multiple photo galleries.

ACCEPTABLE ENTRY If you have entered an elaborate cake that is many layers or comprised of several different cakes, all making up the 1 cake. This can be entered, because although it is comprised of many layers and different "cakes" it is technically 1 cake. Only upload 1 photo
UNACCEPTABLE ENTRY If you have 2 completely different cakes, you cannot enter both. Choose which one is your favorite and only enter the 1. You are only allowed to enter 1 photo period. Some people will use a graphics program to show multiple angles of the cake in 1 photo, this is also acceptable.
The point being, you can only upload 1 photo per contest

Don't feel scared and alone!! I understand what your point was here and don't think you're playing contest police! thumbs_up.gif We're all here to help one another and that's all you're doing, so if anyone has been critical of you or been anything less than appreciative of your efforts to clarify contest rules, then I'm sorry. It's probably just a misunderstanding on their part.

I hope you rec'd my PM's (they had nothing at all to do with the contest or this post). If you're getting a lot of PM's mine might be mixed into the shuffle. icon_rolleyes.gif

Hope you feel better!! icon_lol.gifthumbs_up.gif

Thanks for pointing that out to everyone. I've noticed cakes being entered to multiple galleries or being posted to a gallery and then again into a forum. I like to see everyone's cakes but not the same one over and over again unless i'm going back for another look.

thanks
Deb

Hi Briansbaker! You are definitely not alone, this is something I've been hoping would happen...that somebody other than myself would think this should not be happening. Rules are rules, and I think they should be followed by all. I think it is the fact that people do not read the rules and instructions carefully, not always done on purpose.

I am with you, and thank you. Janice

I don't think you were attacking anyone in particular...your message seems very unbiased and in a friendly manner to me...

I am glad you posted this topic, because I had no idea you could not post a pic in the contest and the reg. gallery. I have done that before, because I want feedback on my cake and you can't get that in the contest. Thanks again! i better work on my baby cake!
