What is a sheet cake?

The exact definition can vary a bit, but it is generally a flat cake, single tier. It can be torted with filling, or just a deep single layer.

1/4 sheet is about 9x13
1/2 sheet is about twice that 15x14
full sheet 26 x 30
the exact measurements vary with pans.

Flat cake.... like a regular 9x13 is about the size of 1/4 sheet cake.
